UMBI Protocol Overview
To begin, we should make clear the distinctions between the different areas of “UMBI Protocol”, some of which may confuse new users.
- UMBI Foundation - A non-profit entity that manages legal compliance, farmer partnerships, and regional operations to bridge blockchain with the real world.
- UMBI Protocol - A set of Ethereum smart contracts (FarmNFT, FarmICO, ProfitDistributor, StakingVault, FeeRouter) that tokenize farms and manage fundraising, profit-sharing, and staking.
- UMBI NFT (ERC-1155) - Multi-token standard where each
tokenId
represents a unique farm plot or operational right, allowing fractional ownership and transferability. - UMBI Token (ERC-20) - The governance and utility token powering staking, incentives, and decision-making across the ecosystem.
- UMBI Interface - A web application that lets users join farm offerings, track farm performance, claim profits, and stake UMBI tokens.
- UMBI Governance - A DAO system where UMBI token holders propose and vote on new farms, treasury use, foundation structure, and protocol parameters.
- UMBI Community - A Web3-driven community of farmers, investors, and contributors who discuss and decide what is best for the protocol.
- Akar Farms - The first strategic farming partner providing real-world agricultural operations, technical support, and credibility for UMBI’s pilot projects.
